Mr Smith's readout on the Judoon
The main inspiration for the story was the new range of Sarah Jane figures. I loved the Sarah Jane Adventures and wanted to create a mini series for the AFT having her battle against Doctor Who baddies. The Judoon were an obvious choice for her to come up against.

The script was completed 17 March 2008 and shot on 29 March 2008 apart from Tarkel's room which was shot on 2 April.

The edit on part two was completed on 13 August 08. One major change was to the colour of Ingrid Fox's eyes and hair- since the scene was shot before the figure had been repainted.

I can't yet place this story in the chronology of the TV series because of the absence of the kids, Luke, Clyde and Maria. I'd like to think that CO will make figures of them eventually, which means that this episode takes place after Series 1.
In terms of it's own internal continuity, it kicks off a new arc introducing the mysterious new nemesis Ingrid Fox. The arc continues next month in TORCHWOOD: FOX HUNT.
