| The Sontarans were perhaps my favourite of all the recurring monsters. These figures with their ‘Captain’ variant are quite charming. Stylised in Dapol’s own unique style with strangely elongated bodies, the nicest thing about them is that Dapol included a removable helmet. A company that can leave the fourth Doctor bereft of his trademark scarf could easily have left these monsters with bare heads. Or even worse, given them helmets that are permanently in place. | ||||

For this release, a new change of packaging. Figures were now put into clamshells with a blue card. Good for people who liked to keep their figures mint on card but also secretly liked to take them out and play with them. | |||
